Born in 1956, Basel. Education and studies at the Basel School of Design. Professional class of spatial shapes and specialized class for audio-visual forms. Freelance in the fields of film, video, photography, installations, design and events. From 1994, residence in the United States and Japan. Studies at the University of Hawai'i. 1998 Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design. Contract work for various platforms as well as for dance and theater performances in public spaces. Advanced studies in Asiatic theater at the University of Hawai'i and Keio University in Tokyo. 2008, Doctor of Philosophy in Asiatic theater. Specialized in Japanese postmodernism, avant-garde, in the underground art and performance. Dissertation about The Power of Image, Tatsumi Hijikata's scrapbooks and the Art of Butoh. Since 2010 curator of the collection of posters and a teacher at the Basel School of Design.
